Songwriters of the world unite...
Welcome to
Shane-Pack.com

Here you will find information on singers and songwriters that I find, meet, stumble upon, or just plain like. I'll review some CD's to let you know what I think about a particular songwriter's sound or style. This is also a place that I will keep you up to date on my own songwriting projects.
In the words of Tennessee Williams:
"Everything is set to music."

Buster Pack and the Lonesome Pine Boys

As some of you know by now, Buster Pack was my grandfather. He had quite a musical career beginning as early as age 6. He played with Ralph Stanley, and Jesse McReynolds of Jim and Jesse fame. My family and I knew little about Buster's career in music until recently when Walt Saunders from <"a href="http://www.bluegrassmusic.com">Bluegrass Unlimited did a lot of research and and excellent article about Buster. (Thanks Walt!)

Here on this page, over time, I will compile the music and memories of Buster Pack and the Lonesome Pine boys as time allows. I hope you find what you're looking for here, and don't forget to pick up the August 2006 edition of Blugrass Unlimited to read the enire article that Walt put together.

Right now I only have eight of Buster's songs on four records. I recorded the music onto my computer off the records, so the quality isn't great, but I've posted a couple of songs here for you to listen to. I did find an old 8 track and as soon as I get a player, I'll record those as well. Just click on the song title to have a listen.
Hope you enjoy, and if you have any Buster Pack info, Email me. Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for keeping the memory alive.
