![]() Shane Pack Live(Sort of) released in 2006. The first in the CD projects. 10 songs written over the years. My first experiments with home recording. The first foray into the unknown world of music production. |
![]() Over Easy was released in late 2006 and was the product of some quick writing and recording. Mostly comprised of new material, Over Easy was not very well received by the masses. Some could say it fell short after the Live CD, but that's not to say that there are not some hidden gems. |
![]() Night Lights, released in early 2007 was a labor of love. After the failure of Over Easy, and learning a little more about home recording, Night Lights was a huge success. The songs were better written, the recording and production was better quality, over all Night Lights was a success. |
![]() Seasons is number 4 in a string of CD Projects over the last two years. Completed in late 2007, Seasons is a little more laid back, a little more melancholy, and probably the last of the music projects for a while. I'm taking some time off to raise boys, experience life, and come up with some more material to write about. Thanks for all the support, and keep on listening. |

| David Butler
David Butler comes to us from the UK where he is a student. I ran across David on The Muses Muse Message Board. Where singers and songwriters converge to post lyrics, songs, and songwriting information and tips. I immediately felt a connection with David's music the first time I heard it. I guess I would describe it as Acoustic Folk style with many lamenting tunes of lost loves and hope for a better tomorrow. My first impression of David's vocals reminded me a bit of Cold Play, but he has his own simplistic grace and style that are like no other. David has some free mp3 downloads on his Soundclick site. Go on and check him out, and be sure to shoot him an email from his site and let him know what you think. If you're a fan of mellow acoustic folk music, you're sure to love David Butler. Peace out

Jim Hoehn "Deadline Penitentiary" | Jim Hoehn is a Milwaukee journalist, songwriter, singer, former Rugby magazine managing editor, husband and father of three. Jim has been seen with the likes of Todd Snider, Jerry Jeff Walker, Don McLean, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, etc. etc. etc. (Shameless namedropper!). Anyhow, on to the meat of the matter, the music...... I'd have to say that Jim's songwriting is exquisite. He teamed up with Larry Joe Taylor, who put together a four piece hot shot musical quartet providing the perfect backup for Hoehn's lyrical prose. Most songs are humorous, some have forboding tones of darkness, stabbings, murders, small town hoodlums, while others hide hints of Jim's true life experiences and beliefs. This has been my first Hoehn experience, and I would have to say that it's been a nice ride. I look forward to hearing more in the future. 'Nuff said, all you Space Monkial singer/songwriter supporters and fans jump over to Jim's website at www.jimhoehn.com and check it out for yourself. While you're there, scroll down to the bottom and pick up the address that you can send $15 to to get a copy of "Deadline Penitentiary". If you want to try before you buy, head over to CD Baby to listen to a free sample. For excellent songwriting style and a little bit of lyrical genius, I give this the all powerful Shane Pack seal of Songwriting Approval. |
